3 Day Cleanse

Kids are home for the holidays, my leg hurts and I am officially starting marathon training again in a week, so I thought this would be a perfect time to reset my body with a cleanse and give my leg some time to heal.  I plan to do some yoga and light biking, but no running for the next 3 days! So come and join me, it's only 3 days and you might feel terrific!!! I log my food on www.myfitnesspal.com/ceciliaruns if you are interested in joining me on my quest for better health!

This is a 3 DAY cleanse is based upon the Amazing Grass 3 & 11 day cleanse, but altered slightly.

Detox water recipe - 2 quarts liquid
Combine:
4 oz pure cranberry juice
3 T lemon juice
1 triple leaf Detox teabag (steep in 1/2 cup hot water for 5 mins.), then add to water
fill remaining jug with water to reach 2 quarts

It is common to feel really cold on a cleanse, due to cold fluids and the detox process.  Drink 1 more serving of detox tea and any other herbal teas as needed for warmth and comfort.

Drink 12oz Kombucha tea throughout the day if desired as it is cleansing and also a appetite suppressant.

On the 4th day, begin taking solids again. Eat only raw foods on the first few days starting out, then slowly add unprocessed cooked foods. This is the salad I will make for reintroduction to solid foods, looks delicious!!!
